Cau Hoang Hon Phu Quoc is two bridge arms reaching toward each other over the sea, stopping just short of touching. That is also known as Cau Hon, or Kiss Bridge, and almost nobody calls it by its official name.
Travellers know it as the sunset bridge because it stands in Thi tran Hoang Hon (Sunset Town) in An Thoi, on the west coast where Phu Quoc’s sunsets happen. This guide covers how to reach it from the Bai Truong (Long Beach) resort strip, when it opens, what a ticket covers, and which hour of the day is worth planning your evening around.
Cau Hoang Hon and Kiss Bridge are the same structure. “Cau Hoang Hon” translates as sunset bridge, a nickname borrowed from the town it sits in, while the official name given by developer Sun Group is Cau Hon, meaning kiss bridge. Both names point to the same pedestrian walkway in Sunset Town.
Address: Phu Quoc, An Giang, Vietnam
Opening hours: 07:00 – 23:00, daily
The design is built around a gap. Two separate wings, the North Wing and the South Wing, extend from the shoreline and reach toward each other above the water, ending roughly 30 centimetres apart. They never meet. Visitors close the distance themselves with a handshake, a hug, or a kiss, which is where the name comes from.

Italian architect Marco Casamonti of Archea Associati designed the bridge, taking his cue from Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam and the almost-touching fingertips at its centre. Sun World gives the combined length of the two wings as 800 metres.
Ticket counters operate at both the north and south entrances, and tickets are also sold online. If you already hold a same-day ticket for the Hon Thom cable car or for the Kiss of the Sea show, bridge access is usually included, so bring the QR code with you rather than paying twice.

The bridge sits at the western edge of Sunset Town in An Thoi, on the southern end of Phu Quoc, facing the Gulf of Thailand. Most international visitors stay 20 kilometres or more north of it along Bai Truong (Long Beach), so the trip south needs planning rather than improvisation.
A private car or taxi is the simplest option and the only one that lets you leave after the evening fireworks without waiting. Guests can also arrange transport through the resort, so check our shuttle service and transfer options before booking a car. Riders take route ĐT975 south, then turn toward An Thoi.
The other approach is from the sea. If you spend the day on Hon Thom, you can return to An Thoi on the cable car and walk into Sunset Town from the station. Our guide to the Hon Thom cable car sets out the timings.
Sunset Town itself costs nothing to enter. Parking sits at the edge of the pedestrian zone, and the last stretch to the bridge is on foot, past the clock tower.

Arrive in the late afternoon, roughly an hour before sunset. Everything that makes the bridge worth the drive south happens in that window.
Most of the detail on Cau Hon sits at hand height or underfoot, and visitors who march straight to the end miss all of it.
The drive south makes more sense when the bridge is one part of the evening rather than the whole of it. This sequence works well:
Pair the trip with a Hon Thom cable car ride earlier the same day and the journey south earns its place. Our overview of what to see across Phu Quoc helps you group the southern sights into one day.
Arrange your return transport before you go, because cars are scarce in An Thoi straight after the fireworks. If the drive doesn’t appeal, Long Beach faces the same western horizon: the sun sets in front of The Lighthouse Bar every evening, no ticket required.
Cau Hoang Hon rewards planning more than spontaneity. The hour you arrive decides whether you get the light, the space at the touch point, and a seat for the fireworks, or whether you get a crowded walkway after dark. Check the sunset time, book your car both ways, and give yourself the full afternoon.
Stay on Bai Truong and you are minutes from the airport, on the same west-facing coast, with the trip south easy to arrange through the resort. See our rooms, suites and beachfront pool villas or browse current stay offers. Book direct for the best rate. Terms and conditions apply. Subject to availability.
Yes, the bridge is ticketed, though Sunset Town itself is free to enter. Prices change by time slot, with the sunset window costing more than daytime or late evening. Children under one metre enter free, and same-day Hon Thom cable car or Kiss of the Sea show tickets normally include bridge access.
The two wings keep different hours. Both open in the morning and stay open into the evening, but the North Wing closes for part of the night while the Kiss of the Sea show runs, then reopens afterwards. Check the current schedule with the operator before you travel, as show times shift seasonally.
Yes, though not from everywhere. The fireworks follow the Kiss of the Sea show, staged near the south end of Sunset Town, and access to the North Wing is restricted while the show runs. Ask staff at the entrance which viewing points are open on the night you visit.
